Key Areas & Building Blocks

We know the best ideas come from diverse groups, and we hope to craft a campus vision that our entire community can see themselves in. That’s why we’ve curated drafting groups that represent a wide range of voices, and our commitment to shared governance, including campus leaders, faculty, students, AP and state classified staff, and key stakeholders. We’ve also asked these groups to collect and synthesize broader input through public discussions and town halls. They ultimately will inspire and guide CSU’s strategic transformation by drafting achievable and measurable goals in identified target areas that support our Green and Gold mission.

The strategic drafting groups represent the heart of our courageous strategic transformation (CST), but they are only part of the picture. These groups will complement additional community outreach, feedback sessions, and multilevel work this fall. They will dovetail with transformational planning in other key areas. As we pursue the CST process and receive feedback, we will also address budgeting, academic master planning, student success, and rural initiatives. Together, these efforts will blaze our trail, helping us to move swiftly, thoughtfully, and boldly through this process and leading us toward a bright and sustainable future for our institution and our world.
